Kirsty Kothakata’s passion for languages first began with summers spent in Poitiers as part of her local town’s Twinning Association. Kirsty went on to study French, Spanish and Italian at Durham University, during which time she lived and studied in Aix-en-Provence. She spent time in Florence and worked as a nanny in Madrid. Upon graduating, Kirsty began a career in business where she very much enjoyed the opportunity to use her French and Spanish skills. When she got married, Kirsty took some time off to travel and study in Central and South America, relishing the opportunity to immerse herself in the Spanish language.
Since having two young sons Kirsty has discovered La Jolie Ronde and she is incredibly excited to rekindle her lifelong love of languages and can’t wait to share this enthusiasm with her young learners.
